Twenty years of stellar performance in leadership and management roles with diverse experience including the UN, development partners, the public and private sectors as well as academia. An economic and social development professional with a solid track record of high-level policy advocacy and partnership building in the areas of public finance; youth education, employment and entrepreneurship; gender equality; social inclusion and green economy across the African continent. Worked upstream leading the drafting of the position paper on the ILO Strategy on Youth Employment in Africa from 2020-2030 in collaboration with 13 offices covering 54 countries across Africa which was mainstreamed in the Abidjan Declaration. Also, worked downstream managing the flagship ILO/Canada project on Decent Jobs for Egypt’s Young People (DJEP) delivering high impact results to 216,000 young people of whom 40% were females. Received the ILO Centennial Recognition Award for teamwork out of 29 projects and 700 people. Recognized as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in the Egyptian Economy in 2016. Granted USAID on the Spot Cash Awards for developing US-Egyptian university partnerships.
